Terms of Service

Welcome to Sparr. These terms govern your use of the Sparr mobile app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Sparr aggregates grocery store flyer data, helps you build and share shopping lists, and helps you track a grocery budget, including an optional receipt-scanning feature. Flyer prices and availability are sourced from public store flyers and may change, be delayed, or contain errors — always verify pricing in-store before relying on it for a purchase decision.

2. Accounts

• You must provide an accurate phone number to create an account and verify it via a one-time SMS code.
• You're responsible for keeping access to your phone number/account secure. Let us know if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Sparr.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose;
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that aren't yours;
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or excessively automate requests against our servers;
• Upload content (including receipt photos) that you don't have the right to share.

4. Shared lists

If you share a grocery list with another person, they'll be able to see and edit the items on that list. You're responsible for choosing who you share a list with.

5. Receipt scanning

If you use the receipt-scanning feature, you submit a photo of a receipt, which is processed by a third-party AI service to extract items and totals for your own budget tracking. Extracted data may occasionally be inaccurate — review it before relying on it.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Sparr is provided "as is." We do our best to keep flyer data accurate and the app running reliably, but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that flyer/pricing data will always be current or accurate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Sparr and its creator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions made based on flyer or pricing data shown in the app.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
